Stealing a decade’s worth of future elections by corrupting the Census process was always going to be a heavy lift, even for the King of Bankruptcy. Thank God Trump stacked his administration with raving bigots so racists like Sessions and Ross would never have to feel alone in their endeavors.
Karen Pence doesn’t want to teach your queer kids. Campus PC culture is out of control and conservatism is the new punk rock.
Maybe we should all just agree that companies that were started by college bros to rate how hot chicks are and send nudes should be allowed to go public. Or at least we should all treat them as unserious as their origins.
So, what’s so “toxic” about masculinity? It’s not the traditional values McAllister ascribes to masculinity—”physical strength, sexual drive, emotional reticence, and raw competitiveness.” It’s when those drives become so uninhibited that they cause a boy or man to harm themselves and others.

Is it any surprise that an addled old man who watches nothing but Fox News overestimated Nancy Pelosi’s unpopularity among House Democrats? Granted, he wouldn’t be the first person to buy into the belief that everyone outside of pinko San Francisco hates the House Speaker with the heat of 10,000 suns. But most people I know who believe Pelosi can’t hold onto the House either thought Jill Stein was a viable alternative to Hillary Clinton or think “Saving Private Ryan” was a masterpiece.

A few months back I was in a professional class setting and I was asked about my views on Amazon. On one hand, I wanted to be critical of the deal in much in the same way I’ve been historically critical of major city mayors subsidizing sports stadiums for billionaires. But the more pragmatic hand (the side of the brain that remembers this December Quinnipiac poll showing New Yorkers approval of the Amazon move to Long Island City at 60 percent compared to just 26 percent disapproval from local community activists), I didn’t think this was a good hill to die on.
For the uninitiated, Megyn Kelly is terrible but she has made a killing as a professional Becky. NBC thought she’d pivot to Serious Journalism™, but now they’re essentially paying $30 million for a segment about the merits of blackface.
United Teachers Los Angeles (the teachers union) wants to invest more resources into the public school system. They don’t see the schools as inherently doomed to fail. Instead, they are going on strike to secure higher salaries to recruit and retain teachers, reduce the size of classes, and bring in more support staff including career counselors, social workers, librarians, school psychologists, and nurses—strategies based on evidence rather than ideology or capitalist greed.

It’s nice to see Disney’s going to make the Premiere and MaxPass elites bear the brunt of the price hikes, but charging $15 to reserve a spot on Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run? That’s about as regressive as a head tax. Is there room for a laser guillotine in Batuu Square?
The list of Kansas Republicans interested in succeeding Roberts in 2020 features the predicable rogues gallery of terrible politicians—Mike Pompeo, Kris Kobach, Derek Schmidt, Roger Marshall, and Kevin Yoder. If those men aren’t bad enough for you, Matt Schlapp (chairman of the American Conservative Union) and Ajit Motherfucking Pai (chairman of the Federal Communications Commission) have also been mentioned as potential replacements. Gag.
